Community Help Hub

Bedlington Help HubOur new Community Help Hub in Bedlington offers free telephone and internet access to those looking for jobs or applying for benefits. We’ve realised many people don’t have internet access at home, and only have mobile phones. It’s really expensive to call so called “free” and “low cost” 0800, 0845 and 0870 numbers from mobiles, yet increasingly these are the only numbers that are offered for contacting government and local authority departments about benefits and other services. We know that free internet access is also provided at libraries, but here at the Community Help Hub you’ll be able to use the internet and if you need to, make a phone call at the same time to check what you are doing. There will also be a helping hand available from our staff to offer any simple guidance you might need in completing forms and applications.

The Community Help Hub is at 30 Front Street West in Bedlington, almost opposite the Job Centre and Wansbeck Homes offices, by the Red Lion bus stop on the X21 bus route towards Ashington.

Our opening hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00 to 15.00

There is no charge for using the Community Help Hub

From time to time we also offer free seminars on a variety of subjects in our upstairs Seminar Room. Subjects include Money Management, Job Interview Skills, CV Writing, Choices & Wellbeing. Why not call in to the Hub and check whether anything is scheduled at present?

The Community Help Hub also has its own web site: see www.communityhelphub.co.uk. NB: clicking on this link will take you out of the County Church website.
